FAQs

As we get closer and closer to our big day, more questions will come our way. This is where we will post those so everyone has access to the information.
Question

What about COVID?

Answer

Our venue has been proactive during the pandemic and will continue to keep all of their guests as safe and healthy as they can. For us, our entire event will be outside to allow room for people to spread out. Not to mention, our venue to committed to only one event per day, meaning that there will be no other weddings or large gatherings (scheduled) on the premises on August 7th. CGH is following the CDC guidelines and are not requiring those who are fully vaccinated to wear masks. If you are not fully vaccinated, under CDC, you are still required to wear a mask.

Question

What if when I go to RSVP, and it says I do not exist, what do I do?

Answer

We have had some issues with the system recognizing names as they are on your envelope. Try entering just your last name. That should pop up all results we have on file for you to select.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, the hotel does have free parking. HOWEVER, its is limited in size. The hotel only has about 40 rooms, therefore, the parking spots would be around that number.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open bar during cocktail hour. However, after cocktail hour, the bar is open for beer and wine until the cutting of the cake. If you wish to not drink the local beers and wines and would like something stronger, you can still order other drinks with cash or card.

Question

Will dinner be plated or buffet style?

Answer

To make things a little simpler during COVID, we will have a buffet style reception dinner. However, it will be served by the hotel staff one table at a time. This might seem a little unconventional, and we recognize that it might take a little longer to get everyone fed, so please be patient during this time.

Question

What kind of weather should we expect?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be outdoors in the evening. We expect the ceremony to have low sun and a cool breeze coming off of the water. There will be water provided at the ceremony to help keep everyone cool and comfortable. During cocktail hour and the reception, expect cooler weather as the sun goes down. Don't forget a wrap or a jacket.

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

We will be outdoors for the entirety of the even. We do not feel the need for everyone to dress up fancy. So our best guess would be a bit more laid back than business casual. HOWEVER, LADIES, if you plan on wearing heels, do keep in mind that majority of our event is in the grass. Plan accordingly.

Question

Where are we registered?

Answer

To make things simple, we have linked all of our registries' to our website! Click on the REGISTERY tab above, and it will have it all.
