Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms at Aloft Portland Downtown Waterfront. If you would like to explore Portland and be near the action, we'd recommend booking Aloft. If you would prefer to be closer to the airport or highway, then we'd recommend booking at the Hampton Inn & Suites Portland West The Portland area also has plenty of Airbnb and Vrbo options, just keep in mind that if you would like to take advantage of the wedding shuttle service, it will pick up and drop off in downtown Portland.

How should I get to the venue?

Answer

We will be providing a shuttle to and from the venue and two hotels that we recommend guests use. The shuttle will make stops at both the Aloft Hotel in downtown Portland and Hampton Inn & Suites Portland West. There are plenty of other lodging options around these shuttle stops, so you are welcome to still use the shuttle even if you are not a guest of these specific hotels. We will provide an update with the specific departure times closer to the wedding date. If you would prefer to drive, Caswell Farm is about 25 minutes from downtown Portland and has plenty of parking.

What should I wear?

Answer

We recommend wearing cocktail attire to the ceremony and reception. However, dinner will take place on grass, so please keep that in mind as you select footwear!

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

We deeply appreciate you spending time with us on our wedding day, and being a part of our lives. Gifts from our registry are absolutely not necessary, but for those who are interested, we have some suggestions to help make our home functional and pretty. Or, you can make a donation to the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights through the registry. Not listed on our registry but appreciated just as much: your favorite book, used or new. We will read it and we will love it too.

Oops! I forgot to book lodging, what should I do?

Answer

Never fear! Caswell Farm offers guests the opportunity to camp for free on their beautiful property in the woods, with access to bathrooms (we are not joking, ask us for details if you are interested).
