We met as organically as you can in 2022. Online! Caleb sent me a message, and we had our first date on September 5! Our first date went well and we began to spend more time together. We did all the typical things: going out to dinner, hiking, rock climbing, hanging out with friends, church, and family game nights. Some time passed. Fast forward to February 12! Caleb sent me on a scavenger hunt by leaving me letters all over the place and then he got down on one knee. I said, "Yes!" and here we are today! That's all the sappy stuff. The reality is that we were both tired of looking for empty relationships that didn't go anywhere. They left us feeling unfulfilled and we realized that doing things our own way never seemed to work. We both made the decision to allow God to lead in our relationship. He bumped us into each other! We both were on the same page from the start and that helped us to grow together. We still required lots of grace along the way, but God continued to pull us closer. Caleb- I didn't know immediately that Hannah was going to be my wife. I was just very drawn to her heart. She is a loving person and she showed me grace when I didn't deserve it. She worked with me and didn't just give up on me. That to me is intoxicating more than anything else. I started to see her as my future wife and I started to love her. She is everything I could have asked for and more! Hannah- Walking up to meet Caleb that first time outside of a coffee shop, I didn't honestly know what to expect since we hadn't talked much at all prior to meeting up that day. As bad as it sounds, I went into that first date with low expectations since up until that point I had no luck with online dating. But I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to talk with Caleb from the start and how much we aligned in our interests and values. It made it very easy for me to say "yes" to a second date, and then a third, then a fourth, and now to marrying him. I found within a short period of time that I loved this man and that he had become my best friend! It's been so cool to see how God has grown both of us individually as well as together and it makes me all the more excited for the future!
