Grace and Matt met in January 2020. Their close family friend, Dawn, set them up on a blind date. Grace and Matt first met at Headquarters in Chicago. They knew it was meant to be when Grace kicked Matt's butt at all the arcade games. A few weeks after they started dating, the pandemic started. Grace and Matt relied on each other during this difficult, unprecedented time and grew a beautiful relationship. They spent their summer falling in love in the warm Michigan sunshine. Matt grew fond of Grace's love for life, people, and animals. Grace was enamored with Matt's dazzling smile and gentle heart. They truly became the best of friends. Matt proposed to Grace on December 4th, 2022 at Lincoln Park Zoo. Matt made it the most special day. "Joy Day" started at the Christkindl Market, with a pretzel the size of Matt's head, and quickly led to an afternoon matinee of the Joffrey Ballet's Nutcracker. Afterwards, Matt and Grace enjoyed a cozy dinner overlooking the Chicago River. The night ended at Zoo Lights where Matt proposed next to the monkey house. Grace was elated and squealed so loud that she woke up all the monkeys. Grace and Matt cannot wait to celebrate their love and marriage with you all!
