We met at the very beginning of our careers, starting out as close friends who clicked a little too easily. In those early days, we were each other’s wingmen—probably a sign we were already spending way too much time together. Little by little, that friendship started to shift, quietly growing into something more… the kind of “office relationship” everyone else likely noticed long before we did. Before we knew it, we were spending time together outside of work—planning little adventures and discovering just how naturally we fit. Our interests aligned easily, and building a relationship together felt like the most natural next step. Being foodies definitely didn’t hurt our story. One of our favorite adventures has been our monthly Chicago restaurant tour—choosing a new spot each month and working alphabetically through the city’s endless food scene. The rule was simple: it had to be a place neither of us had tried before… which gave us plenty of delicious excuses for date nights. One of the most meaningful chapters in our journey was the first time our families met. We hosted Thanksgiving in our home for the very first time, filling the space with family. Since then, we’ve continued to build our life together—buying our first condo in Chicago, traveling whenever we can, and sharing plenty of adventures along the way. There was one challenge Terry had to win over: Lamonte, Kiera’s true first love and forever sidekick. Over time, Lamonte slowly started to tolerate Terry—maybe even like him a little—but he still makes sure we all know exactly where his loyalty lies. As we look ahead, we’re so excited to start this next adventure surrounded by the people who’ve supported and celebrated us from the start. We can’t wait to keep growing, exploring, and writing the rest of our story—together.
