FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes there is! Please come dressed in Cocktail Attire: cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks. Suit and tie is welcome, not required.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please refer to your RSVP card! We have let you know how many spots we have reserved for you.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

While there isn't any transportation to or from the wedding, the Uber and Lyft rides from our hotel blocks downtown to the Avanti Mansion are between $15-$20. There are plenty of out-of-towners, so you may even be able to find a buddy with whom you can split the cost!

Question

What is parking like for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The parking lot is right in front of the Amore building! (The following directions are for when you're facing the building from the street)... Please be sure to park on the right side of the property - the left (with the tent) is also an Avanti venue, but it's a completely separate wedding. Once you've parked, head around the right-hand side of the building to the back garden, and join us for the one of the biggest moment in our lives!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes we do! We have two hotel blocks downtown - please refer to our accommodations page for more information. While we do have hotel blocks set up for your convenience, we understand that you may wish to stay elsewhere - and that's totally fine! We got the blocks downtown for those that wish to be close to the wedding party, as well as the Welcome and After parties. Feel free to search around for the hotel that suits you :)

Question

I have a food allergy/restriction - can I eat what you're serving?

Answer

You certainly can! When you send us your RSVP, be sure to mention what your allergy specifically is so that we can speak with our caterer about accommodating your needs at dinner. They've informed us that they are able to work around those with common allergies/restriction (ie.. dairy, nuts, gluten, shellfish, meat, etc. If you're unsure whether or not they'll have something you can have, give us a call and we'd be more than happy to find out!).

Question

How do you feel about guests taking photos during the ceremony?

Answer

While we want as many photos as possible, please refrain from pulling out your devices during the ceremony! We'll have an incredible photographer there taking photos throughout, so we think we should leave this, the most important part, to the pros :) Feel free to whip out your phones throughout the rest, though - it's a PARTY Y'ALL! (Oh, and use our hashtag so we can catch all of the fun moments!! #ItWasWrittenInTheKosmos )

Question

Can we request songs?

Answer

Heck yeah you can! (We can't promise they'll all play, but hey - might as well try. We want everyone to have a great time!)

Question

Will there be an open bar at the wedding?

Answer

You know it!! Drink and be merry, everyone! We'll have a few wine and beer selections, as well as some great choices for liquor. And of course, don't forget to tip your bartender!

Question

The invitation said "dual plated" - will everyone be getting steak and salmon?

Answer

Yes they will - and trust us when we say we're excited for this meal! If you have dietary restrictions, please specify on your RSVP card - we do have an alternate option for you!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! The ceremony will be held in the beautiful Amore Garden, after which we will all head inside for cocktails, dinner, and dancing. It's October, so bring a light jacket (or a winter parka... you never know #Buffalo). In the event of a rainy day, we will bring the ceremony inside.

For all the days along the way
