Lucy and I met in New York City. I’ll never forget the day I moved. After growing up in rural Connecticut and going to school in a small Rhode Island town, the bright lights and loud sounds left me shell shocked to say the least. I never imagined I’d so quickly meet such a sweet, genuine person that made me happy in so many ways. Next followed a pandemic, where our relationship grew even closer. You learn a lot about someone when you’re confined to a 600 square ft apartment and your entertainment options are limited take out drinks or watching bad Netflix documentaries. I’ll always remember that long stretch of days working from home, making breakfast and going for long (masked) walks. In such a terrible situation, I never saw anyone be so positive. As the world reopened, we took full advantage; traveling (Italy, Hawaii, Mexico) and making up for lost time with more than our fair share of martini lunches with friends. From the late nights out, to the quiet nights on the couch, every day with her has been nothing but pure joy. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with such a special person, and we are so happy to invite you all to share in the best day of our lives. Cheers to forever, Luce. I love you - Zach
While touring for apartments in Manhattan one December weekend, little did I know that I was about to meet the love of my life. I met Zach through mutual friends, and we hit it off immediately. Our first date was at Felice on 64th street in the Upper East Side. I’ll always remember how nervous I was, and how I fretted over the perfect outfit. Those nerves faded away as soon as we sat down. As we learned more about each other that dinner, we found many similarities between our upbringings in Vermont and Connecticut. Zach has the special ability to make anyone feel comfortable and at ease, one of the many things that drew me to him that first date. We found a sense of home in one another. From that day forward it has been a wonderful five years of adventures both big and small. Whether it is exploring a new country, going for a quiet weekend away in Mystic, to just cooking a meal together at home - every day spent together has been special. I am looking forward to lifetime of laughter, love, and family. We are thrilled to take the next step in our journey together with all of you by our side.
