Cortize first knew of Terri back in middle school through mutual friends, but being a little shy at the time, he admired her from afar. Years later, their paths finally crossed when Terri was working at a local Chick-fil-A. Cortize suddenly found himself making many visits — both inside and through the drive-thru — just for the chance to see her. Their first date was a hike at Great Falls, where they spent the day exploring the trails and ending their adventure at the beautiful falls. One of the most meaningful moments in their relationship came when Cortize joined Terri’s church, and together they were rebaptized, strengthening both their faith and their bond. Right before their fifth anniversary together, Cortize proposed at the very same place where he first asked Terri to be his girlfriend — bringing their journey full circle. Cortize loves Terri for her grace in serving others and the joy she brings wherever she goes. Terri loves Cortize for his open heart and the way he loves people without judgment.
