Its no surprise to all that we are both ‘gym rats’. Mark and I had each finished our respective workouts one evening at our now closed gym, CFL, and had made our way to the front desk to talk to our friend Maureen who then introduced us.
It was a Friday evening and as usual I had a raging migraine on my way home from work. Upon arriving at home, the apartment was dark and I assumed Mark was taking an afternoon nap. I was SO excited to climb into bed and join him for a snooze and possibly order pizza later that night, doing as little as possible. But.... When I walked in the door, I noticed that fiesty Tikka (our cat) had something blue on her/ around her neck. She was conveniently laying in the living room and did not come to me when I called her. As her servant, I approached her to find her wearing a collar with a tag that read ‘Mom, please tell Mark yes’. I Immediately ran to the bedroom to find my Superman holding the ring in his hand ready to propose. After some smiling, kissing (sorry mom and dad), crying and shaking, Mark tells me that I have 30 minutes to get ready as we need to catch the next train downtown for dinner reservations. We replayed our first date almost exactly and finally made it to bed around 2am. Best migriane medicine ever!
