We met through mutual friends, Kim and Marcus. I was going through an unexpected breakup and wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. But he would not take no for an answer which I love about him. We exchanged numbers and did the Facebook search of course. He texted me and officially started our love story :-). I was living in Savannah and he was living in Henderson. We would text all day and talk all night. Ter-Marco was so sweet and genuine. Even though we had never officially seen each other, the connection was there. Finally, the awkward meet up happened in the Galleria Mall's parking lot. We chilled and talked for awhile. Everything was so perfect! Things moved forward, he started traveling to Savannah every other weekend to see me. Something about Marco made me know from start that he was the one. Things were moving very fast. We met each other’s family and Marco finally asked me to be his girlfriend in the weirdest way possible but I said yes.
On December 12, 2012 I was involved in a really bad accident on I-16 while traveling back to Savannah for work. Ter-Marco was at work but that didn’t stop him from rushing to Vidalia to be by my side where we found out that I was pregnant with our first child. After being in labor for 24 straight hours on July 15, 2013, we welcomed our first born Jorden Isaiah Askew into the world. We knew then that we were meant to be. Many great things happened after that, I graduated college, started working in my career field, we bought our very first home, and on August 11, 2017 we welcomed our daughter into the world. Chloe Michele Askew was another piece of our puzzle so Ter-Marco knew it was time to complete it.
So on May 13, 2018, he got down on one knee and insinuated that he wanted me to be his wife. I say that because he didn’t ask me, he got down and froze. But I gladly accepted his ring. Now we proudly say that on October 10, 2020 at Hummingbird Hill Farms in Perry, Ga, two will become one as Mr and Mrs Ter-Marco James Askew. We hope to see you there!
