Michael and I met in the 7th grade where we both attended Jones Valley Middle School. We spoke to each other every once in a while and he would always call me "Steve" because of my mustache earrings. Fast forward to high school, Michael attended Wenonah High School for a little bit until he transferred schools but we always kept in contact. In 2017, Michael's cousin text me on snapchat and implied I would be a good best friend for Michael. I text Michael to tell him about it and from then we have been best friends. We would text sometimes and every-once in a while we would hang out or celebrate best friends day. After graduating high school Michael and I talked more and he would always tell me about his girl problems and I would give him advice. Sometime I college I noticed I began to develop a little crush on Michael. I never said anything about it, I would always tell him about other girls because my thought process was you're not suppose to like your best friend. The summer of 2020, Michael was invited to my families beach trip. While sitting on the sand, my dad said out loud "we know you guys like each". I was instantly embarrassed and I did not speak for the rest of the night. Eventually my silence was broken and Michael and I walked the strip in Pensacola. We discussed what had happened earlier that day and Michael say he does not like me and us liking each other could ruin our friendship.. and that was that. Our trip went on and we did not think on that topic again. In 2021, Michael and I went to Miami for my birthday. I bought the plane tickets and Michael paid for the airbnb and we both took turns paying for things. The trip was fun and super platonic. Thats when I knew I still had a crush on Michael but I still never said anything. Fast forward to us celebrating our bestfriend anniversary/ best friends day; Michael picked me up and our plan was to swim and get food but the weather was very bad. While in the car, I said "in the future if you are not married and neither am I we should just get married". Michael pushed the conversation further asking why would I want to marry him which led to us both admitting that we liked each other on July 19th. Michael and i hung out almost every chance we could get and on September 25th, 2021 Michael asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes. May 25th, 2024 Michael asked me to marry him on the beach and I of course said yes. And that is our Story!
