Tom and Ashley technically knew of each other thanks to mutual friends, but it took a little extra effort (and a lot of persistence) from Tom for things to actually happen. After a couple polite rejections on Hinge (sorry, Tom), Ashleys cousin finally convinced her to give Tom a shot. Best decision ever. For their first date, Tom picked Ashley up and took her to get one of their favorite dinners, sushi. They were both a little nervous for their date, but Tom knew how to keep the conversation and the laughs going (especially when he dropped sushi on his white shirt). They laughed, talked for hours and listened to Taylor Swift on the ride home, which was the last time Tom allowed Ashley to have control over the music. The day Tom proposed to Ashley came as a surprise to both of them. Ashley threw Tom a surprise 30th birthday at his parents' house and Tom surprised her back with a spur of the moment proposal after everyone sang happy birthday to Tom. The day was perfect and they were both so happy to have been able to celebrate two big milestones surrounded by family and friends. A few years, countless adventures, and a lot of sushi later... here we are! These days, you can find us riding roller coasters, trying different restaurants, and living our best boat life.
