Teresa was living in Little Rock about to move out of state for her last two clinics of grad school. Curtis was in Little Rock for work. He lived in Nashville, Teresa’s last clinical rotation was in Nashville. They met on a little thing called Bumble right before she moved out of state. Curtis drove 2 hours to Huntsville, AL a few weeks later to take Teresa out for their first date. Little did she know, he had a 6 AM flight the next day and wanted to head out after dinner, but Teresa felt bad he had drove so far for a short dinner, so she invited him back to meet the pups. She ended up falling asleep on him when watching New Girl. Curtis awkwardly had to wake her up so he could leave to drive back to Nashville.
We had taken a last minute trip to Denver to see some new friends and explore a new city. Curtis brought the ring along and was just going to wing it if the right moment presented itself. Teresa didn’t think he’d do it because everytime she asked him where he wanted to go/what he wanted to do, he didn’t seen to have an opinion. On Saturday Curtis told our friend Allison what he wanted to do and she made sure to get us to the most perfect spot in Rock Mountain National Park. It was crowded when we took pictures the first time. So when the crowd cleared, Curtis wanted another round of pictures and that’s when he turned, eyes wide, pulled out the ring box, knelt down, and asked Teresa to marry him. Of course she said yes! Luckily Allison nailed it and captured it all for us to relive.
