3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Very casual, come as you are
We will be hanging out enjoying the games/amenities available to us at the hotel and if you are free to come by to visit with us in a casual atmosphere we would love to see you. This event is totally optional and simply is out there as an opportunity for anyone staying in Sedona Friday night to come hang out before the real chaos begins.
4:00 pm - 10:00 pm
This is where you can RSVP if you would like to help us make the day go smoothly. We have several events and locations plans and gratefully appreciate any help anyone is willing/able to offer.
5:15 am - 7:15 am
Wear good footwear with traction and clothing you can move in. The climb to the top is slick and steep in places, and is rated as “hard” on AllTrails.
We will be using this time to get our wedding/bridal party photos out of the way, but anyone interested in climbing a mountain at dawn is welcome to come along. Please note there is a fee to park at the trailhead and very limited parking so we recommend carpooling if possible.
9:00 am - 9:30 am
Casual, comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear is recommended.
We have finalized our plan. We don't anticipate any more changes but if there are they'll be here. Unfortunately due to limited cell service we won't be able to stream live via Zoom from this location. We will be saying our vows underneath Red Rock State Park's Wedding Tree. It is located approximately 500 yards beyond the visitors center and can be reached by either a mostly paved path or a well maintained dirt path. We will not be providing seating as the ceremony should be less than 20 minutes, but if you think you'll need a place to sit during the ceremony please bring a folding chair along. There is ample parking at this location, even if you park at the reception location and walk the additional 600 yards up to the visitors center. We will be able to cover your parking cost for the event. See the RSVP for the super secret password. I will also be making a PDF of the schedule for the wedding, if you would like a copy to print leave your email in the accompanying RSVP question.
9:30 am - 11:30 am
Casual/Summer
We will be hosting a small reception at the Twin Cypress Ramada when you first enter Red Rock State Park. Since we moved things up to earlier we are changing the menu to reflect more brunch style options. We will have muffins, croissants, lemonade, mimosas and water. There are NO trashcans at this locations so we highly recommend you bring refillable water bottles and/or cups to reduce the amount of trash we pack out. The Visitor's Center also offers a Junior Ranger program for the kids. If you are interested in giving the kids a productive outlet this is a great option. Unlike Crescent Moon, Red Rock State Park is a Wildlife Conservation Area so there is no water access and pets are not allowed. However, there is an abundance of wildlife to behold and can be quite exciting as we saw deer and other critters, which also means please be aware of your surroundings so you don't come too close to something you don't want to be friends with. We're looking forward to celebrating with you.
5:30 am - 7:30 am
This hike isn't as steep as Cathedral Rock but still, wear hiking or tennis shoes. If you wear sandals we will harass you the entire time.
Pretty sure parking here is free, there's a long, flat dirt road you have to walk unless you have a Jeep or similar to get back to the actual trailhead, once you make that turn the real fun begins. *See the "Things To Do" tab for more info on the trail and how to get there.
10:00 am
This will be our final planned event of the weekend. We will be having breakfast at our hotel prior to checkout. It is a standard buffet breakfast available to everyone at your own cost. If you already ate or prefer to eat elsewhere, feel free to join us just to hang out for a bit before we head back down to Phoenix.
6:00 pm - 11:45 pm
Umm the best costumes ever, obviously
This is less wedding, more Halloween, but if you can't see us in Sedona this is another fun way to come hang out, and hopefully let the kids trick or treat under a full moon. We won't be providing a full meal, just light hors d'oeuvres and simple drinks. But, there will be a costume contest. BYOB
5:00 pm
We don't know where, we don't know when, but when this pandemic passes we're going to celebrate.
