A few years ago, St. Paul was getting on the soccer bandwagon and start planning a new stadium for our home team, “Minnesota United”. This name was an obvious play on the British soccer team, Manchester United, which we couldn’t help get a bit of a laugh about. Around the same time, Steve and the boys had moved in and we were setting up a new router for the house WiFi. As we began to discuss what to name the network, we laughed out loud as we both immediately agreed, “Marshall United”! It was the perfect name—not only does it symbolize our uniting households under one roof on Marshall Avenue, it also gives us a chuckle every time we say it. Now, we just need to design a family crest and have jerseys made for wedding souvenirs. (Just kidding - we haven’t gone that far off the deep end!)
