We met the modern way… on a slow pitch softball field. After one of our games, he decided it was the perfect time to start flirting and casually asked if Michael and I wanted to grab drinks at the bar. I, of course, chose the very glamorous option of going home to bed instead. Priorities. But he didn’t give up. He kept shooting his shot, and I confidently placed him in the friend zone… where he lived for about a year. Persistence is key, apparently. Somewhere between softball games, laughs, and his refusal to quit, I finally gave in — and from that moment on, we were inseparable. Fast forward to a trip to Santorini, Greece. After a casual five-mile hike (because nothing says romance like being slightly out of breath), he got down on one knee at the very end — proving once and for all that he was in it for the long run. And this time, I didn’t say no. 💍 Turns out the guy I friend-zoned was actually my forever.
