They met at Paradise Lake in the Summer of 2005. Robbie was new to the campground that summer. The next school year Robbie transferred to Timken, which happened to be the school Tera went to. Over the course of two summers they would flirt back and forth with each other. They were both too shy to say anything. Fast forward 13 years later, Robbie finally mustered up enough nerve to ask Tera out. They had their first date at Fiddlestix on September 28, 2018. They couldn't get enough of each other. They moved in together in December of 2018. As they continued to fall deeper in love with each other every day, Robbie already knew Tera was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. She was like nobody he had ever met before. All the while Tera was telling everybody she had found her person. Robbie bought a ring and kept it in his car, waiting for the perfect opportunity to ask Tera to marry him. On November 9th, 2019 at the Town Tavern in Louisville, Ohio with Tera's family Robbie put “Love Someone” by Lukas Graham on the jukebox and EVER so nervously asked Tera to marry him with a cheesy smile on his face. Tera's response was "OBVIOUSLY"! The entire family missed it and took Tera's ring and told Robbie to redo it! They are very excited to continue this journey together by uniting two families as one.
