Surprisingly, Nick & Tee’s love story began with a simple swipe right. They connected on the dating app Hinge and started chatting casually. Eventually, Nick asked for Tee’s number and their communication deepened. However, just a week into getting to know each other, the COVID-19 pandemic hit and everything came to a halt. With no possibility of meeting in person, the two had to rely solely on communication to build their relationship. In the midst of this, Teonah, who is quite the entrepreneur, started making and selling face masks. Nickardo bought some from her, and she volunteered to personally deliver them. It was on that day, when they finally laid eyes on each other, that their connection grew stronger. Little did they both know that they’d later planned to spend the rest of their lives together.

Nickardo lived in Westfield, NJ, while Teonah lived in Plainfield, NJ. After being together with Teonah for around two years, Nickardo expressed his desire to move in together. It was a significant step for both of them and a completely new experience. As time went on, they truly got to know each other in a way they had never known before, which strengthened their bond and brought them closer in their relationship. Then, on April 23rd, 2023, after just 7 months, Nickardo proposed in a very intimate setting at a beautiful tulip farm, a place that Teonah had always wanted to visit for a date. While they were picking tulips, Nickardo got down on one knee and proposed, creating a complete fairytale moment. Can we all agree, he did an excellent job with the ring? 💍

Nickardo initially hesitated to pursue a promotion within his company due to his reluctancy to move across the country, but Teonah encouraged him to always seize open opportunities. Surprisingly, after the interview, he received a job offer! The position required them to relocate to the west coast, where Nickardo would lead a team. From that point on, everything started moving quickly. Despite the challenges of searching for a new home and planning a wedding simultaneously, with the support of their loved ones, they were able to accomplish everything. Eventually, they found a beautiful apartment in Scottsdale, AZ, where they currently reside. They both adore the diversity and various attractions of Arizona, such as the weather, location, and restaurants. Although they miss their friends and family dearly, they have grown to love Arizona and are grateful for their decision to relocate when it was feasible. Nickardo is thrilled with his new role as the Regional Business Director, while Teonah is fortunate to continue working at American Express during the day and pursuing her entrepreneurial endeavors at night.
