We're so excited to celebrate with you.

Michael and Teodora met back in college while covering a story for the Penn State University newspaper. Michael was the photographer and Teodora was the journalist. Seamless match. Unfortunately, Tia moved to England soon after college and Michael eventually moved back to California. It took 10 years to make their way back to each other! The overwhelming support from friends and family, past and present who have said “it’s about time,” have really made them hopeful for the future. In 2020 Michael moved to rainy Portland from sunny California so that they could be together in the time of the COVID quarantine. They have a cute Bengal cat named Nico and a beautiful not-so-perfect but perfect for them, home in the Portland hills. They couldn't be happier, more content, and more excited about what the future will bring. ----------------------------- Wedding plans were debated (over-and-over), which proved difficult because of the pandemic. Initially, the plan was to elope in the North Cascades National Park. Now that restrictions have been lifted, they would regret not celebrating with their closest family and friends. Because plans for elopement were already confirmed for August 16th, they will host a nontraditional reception prior to the private elopement ceremony. ----------------------------- We would love for you to join us on August 14th in Seattle, WA for a fun day exploring the city followed by a reception on August 15th at Beau Lodge in Bow, WA prior to our private ceremony in the North Cascades. With such short notice and the pandemic still part of our lives we understand any hesitation or inability to make the trip but still hope to see you all there!
