I was born into a world full of love, laughter, and the warmth of family. Growing up in Zimbabwe, my childhood was a beautiful mix of simple joys and big dreams. My journey started at Selbourne Routledge, where I spent my early years learning, playing, and making lifelong memories. I was the kind of child who loved to explore, always curious about how things worked. As I grew, my path led me to Marondera High School, where I truly started to understand the power of hard work and ambition. High school was filled with lessons, not just from books, but from life itself. Friendships, challenges, victories, and even moments of doubt all shaped me into the person I was becoming. My Lower 6 years took me through two schools, Dendera High and St. John’s Chikwaka, both of which tested my resilience and adaptability. Each move, each change, taught me something new about myself. Then, life took a turn I had always dreamed of but never fully prepared for. My entire family migrated to the U.S., a moment that marked a new beginning. It was exciting, overwhelming, and sometimes even terrifying. Everything was different, the culture, the people, even the way the world seemed to move. But one thing remained the same: my determination to build a future I could be proud of. I chose to study Electrical Engineering and Technology, a field that fascinated me from a young age. It wasn’t an easy road. The coursework was challenging, and adjusting to life in a new country while handling the pressures of engineering school was no small feat. There were nights when I questioned if I could do it, moments when I felt like an outsider in a place so far from home. But through it all, my family was my anchor, reminding me why I started this journey in the first place. And then, when I least expected it, love found me. It started with a simple Facebook message in my final year of university. A conversation that should have been ordinary somehow felt different. What began as casual chats turned into late-night talks, inside jokes, and a connection that grew deeper with every passing day. He saw me in a way few people ever had. He understood my dreams, my struggles, and the journey that had brought me here. Today, I stand as a Manufacturing Engineer, a woman who chased her dreams across continents and never gave up. But more than that, I stand as a bride, ready to begin a new chapter with the man who walked into my life just when I needed him most. From a small girl in Zimbabwe to a woman in the U.S., from a student to an engineer, from a Facebook message to a lifelong love, this is my story. And the best part? It’s only just beginning

After two amazing years together, he planned the perfect proposal. Two days before my birthday, he arranged a date for my birthday since it fell on a Sunday. We went to a Castle in Ohio (which I had been dying to go to) , a birthday dinner and, he decorated his house beautifully, setting the stage for a moment we would never forget. Surrounded by his family and best friend, he asked me to marry him and of course, I said yes! It was a magical and emotional moment, marking the beginning of our journey toward marriage.
In a beautiful cultural celebration, we had our roora ceremony what some would call “the cows came home.” It was a significant and joyous event, bringing our families together to honor our union and traditions. An unforgettable event. Building our lifetime of memories
We officially became husband and wife in a simple yet meaningful courthouse ceremony. With our love legally sealed, we stepped into this new chapter together, excited for the future.
