Our modern day love story has an exciting twist on online dating. After hopeless swipes, we stumbled upon each other on Super Bowl Sunday in 2019. A four hour long first date at the Tap House in Morgantown full of laughter and conversation set us up for our bright future. We quickly fell in love as our personalities and sense of humors matched up perfectly.

I joined Tyler on his family’s vacation to Michigan. This would be the first time I officially went camping and Tyler was beyond excited to get me out of my comfort zone of a Holiday Inn. We set up camp on the Upper Peninsula with a gorgeous view of Lake Huron. We got to explore Mackinaw City and eventually Mackinaw Island. After a ferry ride to the island we rented bikes to be able to bike around, explore the shops, and enjoy the day. Our first stop was Arch Rock which provided a gorgeous overlook. After a 2 mile bike ride and 207 stairs to climb I was exhausted. Tyler and I walked out to the overlook to take in the view. The next thing I know, he was down on one knee and a secret photographer snuck out to capture the picturesque moment. We then got to bask in the glory riding around the island taking pictures and searching for an “Engaged on Mackinaw” momento.
