Tenly and Jacob met during the summer of their junior year in high school, and from the beginning, something clicked. After finishing their first date, Jacob was convinced that she was the one, telling his brothers every detail of the night. After one week of seeing each other, Jacob asked Tenly to be his girlfriend and she said it’s only been 7 days and to give it a little more time. So Jacob asked again a week later and got an overwhelming “yes”! When it came time for college decisions, Tenly committed to the University of Alabama. The thought of long distance felt overwhelming for the young and in love couple, so Jacob decided to schedule a trip for himself. After Jacob’s tour of Alabama, it was no secret he felt drawn to Alabama as well, and their love traveled to Tuscaloosa. Roll Tide! Their college years were filled with hard work, lots of fun, and the shared goal of graduating in just three years — which they did, side by side. After college, Jacob’s career led him to Dallas, and together they chose to start their post-grad journey there — living just across the street from one another as they settled into a new city. It wasn’t long before Jacob asked Tenly to marry him at the Dallas Arboretum on 10.10.25. We are very excited to share our special day with each of you on 7.26.26!
