We were at Turks Bar in Dana Point, California when we first saw each other. We were so excited to get to know one another we left the bar to be able to talk at a nearby restaurant. We sat there for hours talking and laughing about everything and anything. We talked about favorite movies, sports, activities we like to do, etc. We both loved the same things and decided we wanted to go on a first date to a Ducks game!
When Eric and I were only about 5 months into dating I had my 25th birthday. I had worked hard to plan a birthday with friends that was not working out. I was sad and told him I just wanted to not stress or worry about it anymore and just do something the two of us. My birthday comes and he tells me we are going to Los Angeles for a fancy brunch( I'm obsessed with brunch). So i am stoked about this. As we are driving Eric is trying his hardest to distract me. He is having me look up statistics and histories on certain players for our fantasy baseball league. He tells me he is going to get off the freeway and get gas and I am oblivious. I look up from my research to see us pulling into the far out lot of Disneyland. Eric pulls out parking tickets and tells me we are going to Disneyland! I was so excited and couldn't believe he had surprised me like that. Then we walk through the gates and some of my friends come rushing towards me. I was in shock and knew I had to keep Eric around. Fast forward to us being together for 3.5 years. We went to Disneyland with our best friends on August 28, 2018. Disneyland had such a special meaning for us up until this point and that is where Eric popped the question. We were on the California Adventure Pixar Pier under the arch saying Adventure is Out There. It was such a wonderful moment that added to our fond memories together at Disneyland.
