You can adjust the dates and number of guests using the filters, and the list will automatically update to show houses that match your criteria. All the homes currently shown are still available (as they become booked, they will fall off the list), and the prices listed reflect the total cost for the full weekend, not the nightly rate.
We absolutely love children, but the ceremony and reception will be wedding adults-only...aside from our sweet flower girl! If you’ll need childcare during the evening, let us know. Our wedding planner has a list of wonderful, vetted local babysitters and we’re happy to help coordinate and to suggest some kid-friendly activities throughout the weekend.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM, but we’ll be offering welcome drinks starting at 4:30 PM. Come early, grab a drink, and settle in!
Our wedding reception & ceremony, the dress code is black tie optional. For our welcome party, we recommend southern cocktail attire —think elevated, colorful, and fun! No suits needed for the welcome party.
All events will be peanut, tree nut, shrimp, sesame, and pineapple-free to accommodate the bride and groom’s allergies. If you have any other allergies or dietary restrictions, please be sure to mark them when you RSVP and select your dinner option. We’ve got you covered!
1) We love a full-circle moment: our flower girl’s dad, Jonathan, was Lily’s parents’ ring bearer, and Lily’s mom was Jonathan’s mom’s flower girl! Three generations of wedding day roles! 2) The violinist, pianist, and cellist playing during our ceremony are none other than Lily’s Aunt Sarah, Uncle Brian, and cousin James. We feel so lucky to have such talented family members making the day even more meaningful and musical! 3) We’re incredibly honored to have Judge Richard Gergel officiating our ceremony. He was a close friend and colleague of Lily’s late grandfather, John Spratt, and has played an important role in South Carolina’s history. It means the world to us to have someone so meaningful to our family—and to the Spratt family home state of South Carolina—standing with us on our big day.
Lowndes Grove is nestled along the banks of the Ashley River and has stood as a Charleston landmark for more than 230 years. Built in the 1780s, this stunning estate is one of the last remaining grand waterfront homes from the Revolutionary era, reflecting the Lowcountry’s rich architectural history and deep connection to the water. We also want to acknowledge the historical context of this site. Although it has at times been referred to as a plantation due to neighboring land's past use as an orange grove, the current owners have assured us that enslaved and unpaid labor was not used in the grove's agricultural operations. This was a meaningful and non-negotiable consideration for us when selecting a venue, and we felt it was important to share. For us, this space represents a way to honor Charleston’s beauty and history in a way that aligns with our values. We’re so excited to celebrate here and can’t wait for you to experience the historic charm of the grounds.
