What is the wedding dress code?

The wedding dress code is Cocktail attire Ties - YES Jackets - OPTIONAL Shoes- OPTIONAL

Will the Ceremony and reception take place outdoors?

Answer

The Ceremony is located on The Albacore Beach Access. Cocktail hour- will take place outside. Reception will take place outdoor / Indoor.

The Ceremony start time is 5:00 PM.

Question

Is Transporation provided to and from the wedding / Reception?

Answer

Yes, transportation will be provided for Black Stallion Guests, Hampton Inn & suites guests, and local houses. * Please note that there is absolutely no parking on the streets or the cul-de-sac where The Black Stallion is located. For the wedding day, the driveway will be filled with vendors and NO parking in the driveway will be allowed - all guests must take the Trolley provided. Please check back the week of the wedding for the Trolley schedule. OBX Trolley will pick up Black Stallion guests at The Black Stallion for the ceremony at TBD. OBX Trolley will pick up guests at The Hampton Inn & suites for the ceremony at TBD. OBX Trolley will pick up those at other house at a certain time as well. Please check back for exact pick up time.

Question

If we want to visit the Bride & Groom at The Black Stallion during the wedding week , where should we park?

Answer

If there is room in the DRIVEWAY feel free to park. No vehicles are permitted to park in front of residences, or in the cul-de-sac at the base of The Black Stallion’s driveway. Overnight parking on Laughing Gull Court is NOT permitted. Nor is parking permitted (for more than 2 hours at a time) in the Harris Teeter grocery store parking lot. This also applies for the SIP & DIP pool party on August 5th. If you have any questions regarding parking please ask before you park. We were warned multiple times how strict parking is in this area and they will tow your vehicle without hesitation.

Where is the nearest airport / Rental car services?

Answer

The closest major airport, Norfolk International Airport, is approximately 91 miles away. Charter flights are available from Pine Island Airport which is approximately 3.5 miles away and First Flight Airport which is approximately 22 miles away. Most major rental car companies have cars available at Norfolk International Airport. The closest car rental company, Enterprise Rental Car, is located in Kill Devil Hills approximately 20 miles away.

Are animals allowed over during the week if we want to visit The Black Stallion to see the Bride & Groom ?

Answer

No. Unfortunately no pets are allowed at The Black Stallion at anytime.

The Black Stallion Guests ONLY* What should we pack and or bring with us for the week?

Answer

Beach towels and or beach chairs. Cooler if wanted- Ice for cooler. Sunscreen Bug spray Laundry detergent etc.... If you plan on doing laundry. Own food/ snacks/ beverages (Certain food/ beverages will be supplied during events) Bath towels if you will need multiple ( Each room comes supplied, but they may be limited to one per person) Extra toilet paper/ hand soap if needed Paper towels if you plan on cooking. Can guests of The Black Stallion utilize The Currituck Club amenities?

Answer

Yes, guests of The Black Stallion can enjoy all of the amenities offered by The Currituck Club, including the golf course (discounted greens fees), the fitness center, 3 outdoor fitness stations, 3 community pools, the Tiki bar at the main community pool, door to shore service, trolley transportation, basketball courts, tennis, bocce, volleyball, shuffleboard, cornhole, beach access, beach valet, beach snack bar, beach equipment rentals, and business center.

How close is The Currituck Club trolley pick-up point from The Black Stallion?

Answer

The closest trolley pick-up point is at the corner of Hunt Club Drive and Herring Gull Court, which is a 3-minute walk from The Black Stallion. The Currituck Club has also agreed to send the trolley right to the Black Stallion for pickups if you call them at 252-453-4011. If you do request a pickup, please make sure that your group is ready to board when the trolley arrives. This is available everyday besides the wedding day- We have hired a different trolley service for the wedding day.

Will I need 4x4 vehicle to get to The Black Stallion?

Answer

No. The Black Stallion is easily accessible off Route 12, and you will not require any special type of vehicle to get to it.

Question

How far is The Black Stallion from the beach?

Answer

The Currituck Club exclusive southern beach access point is approximately 5 minutes by car, and 7 minutes by the community trolley. The trolley service is provided at NO CHARGE to guests of The Black Stallion from 9:00am -until the last trip from the beach at 6:30pm. (This is not the same location of the ceremony, that is a different beach access.)
