We met hanging out for drinks with a mutual friend. After a long week of work my coworker asked me and a few more team mates out for drinks. She stated her friends would meet us there. We were both involved at that time with other people so of course we only hung out. That occurred several times. I told my friend I would marry her friend and she said how you are married (I was going through a divorce 😉) and she is engaged. I said it will happen that’s my person, we will be a POWER COUPLE. A couple years later I left that job and was walking through the mall with my kids. (Haven’t seen or spoke to her in a couple years) She stopped me and we caught up. I was so nervous because I really liked her and seeing her brought those feelings back. I realized as we departed I didn’t get her number and she didn’t get mine. I searched her on Facebook and inboxed her. I asked if we could have a movie night including her girl friend. She said she didn’t have one and I said perfect I only wanted to hang with you anyway. She asked for my number and then text me while we were messaging. The rest was history.

In May 2020 riots were getting bad everywhere. We were in the bed watching tv. Alicia got up left the room and came back. She said bae I been thinking and if anything happened to me I would want you and the girls taken care of. We should just go ahead and get married and worry about everything else later. I couldn’t see my life without you. Of course I said yes again, (she asked previously if she asked would I say yes lol) so we decided we would elope and have a ceremony and reception in 2021. We set the date for 7.11.2021 for the ceremony and reception. We’re so excited to celebrate this chapter in our lives with you! See you in CHICAGO, IL
