It’s 2012. Scott’s mom met Jen at her parent's cookout, and started chatting about her single son Scott in New York City. A couple days later Jen received an email from Scott, which was followed by 3 amazing dates. It was all starting out to be a true 2012 summer love story... Then COVID hit in 2020…Wait, what happened over the last 8 years? Some may call it “ghosting” – although Scott still defends himself. In August of 2020, Jen received an email from Scott and shortly after they reunited for a glass of wine on the porch of Jen’s parents’ house (Jen thought they were just catching up), and the conversation picked up where it left off in 2012. With Jen naturally finding ways to remind Scott of the ghosting 8 years prior. Fast forward to a new apartment and a puppy two years later - May 2022. Jen thought she was on her way to a surprise birthday party, but instead, Scott did his best country star impression and performed Jen’s favorite song before getting down on one knee and asking her to spend the rest of her life with him.
