Darrell and I met as children. Our parents and grandparents went to the same churches. So I guess you can say we are church kids. lol. My mother moved to Beaver County when I was young. We still had some interactions due to the same church crowd and our high schools competed in track. We went in two different directions after graduating. We never thought that more than 25 years later we would be together. One of the funniest parts of our story is... I ran into Family Dollar to grab something quickly. I'm standing in line and this familiar lady comes up to me and says, "Hi how are you? Are you married?" This question caught me off guard. I just responded, "no ma'am, I am not". She goes on to say, "You should date my son, he needs a good wife!" I smiled and checked out with the cashier. She left. After getting in my car, I thought, that was weird. I immediately called my bestie! I told her about my encounter. She immediately said, "Girl you never know, everything Ms. Janice speaks out of her mouth, comes into existence." For whatever reason, I could not figure out which son she was talking about. I'm like this lady has 4 sons!!! 😂 I never thought anything else of that day. About a year and a half later, I'm at work and I get a mysterious call on FB. Now y'all know the code.... WE DON'T PICK UP CALLS FROM FB unless you are family! So later that evening, I remembered the call. I decide to send a message (NOT CALL) to say, Hello. I didn't see this. (Don't judge me) 😂 Was it a mistake. He texted me back to say, yes it was, I'm sorry. But I certainly wouldn't mind having you as a chat partner. I enjoy your word and wisdom. IT HAS BEEN HEAVEN EVER SINCE! 🥰
