Travel

To travel is no small feat and your presence means so much to us. We thought we would include some helpful information about the location and what to expect during your stay. We have reserved Paint Rock Farm for the weekend. The town of Hot Springs aptly named because of its natural mineral springs is situated where the Appalachian Trail crosses the French Broad River. Due to the remote and quaint location, it’s important that our guests are prepared. Here are some tips: Plan to travel during daylight. Although mostly paved, the roads are winding and not clearly marked. The short road to access Paint Rock Farm is unpaved, steep and narrow. You will not need 4 wheel drive, just go slow. Fill up your gas tank before you begin your mountain road endeavor. We highly recommended that you purchase your supplies en-route, as the drive can be tiresome and we want you to relax and enjoy yourself upon your arrival. Please see below for additional suggestions. We can't wait to see you!

Travel Note

The Barn

The barn on property has a full sized kitchen equipped with all the cookware you should need to prepare meals and a coffee pot. There is a refrigerator you’ll be sharing with other guests. Bringing your own cooler is recommended (if possible) for extra space. Ice can be purchased at the Hillbilly Market as well as basic groceries. (Very basic) Ingles is a large supermarket with locations approximately 30-60 mins away.

Travel Note

The Cabins

To those staying on-site, your cabin number will be assigned to you. There is no electricity or WiFi in your cabin. You can access electricity and connect to WiFi in the barn and in the bath houses. Your cabin will contain 1 or 2 queen sized beds, a lantern, blankets, pillows, 2 towels - and a stunning view! We cannot predict the weather so bring any items you may need for your comfort. There are two bath houses on property with heated floors. Each bath house contains two showers and doors that lock for your privacy. There are four private outdoor showers. You will also have access to a small dressing room equipped with electricity and full length mirrors.
