In April 2020 in the midst of the Covid pandemic, Telar's friend and previous roommate Shannon, kept telling Telar about her ski patrol coworker Alex and how she thought they'd be a good match! One day, Shannon stole Telar's phone and texted Alex asking him if he would want to go on a mountain bike ride. Alex, not knowing it was a set up, was looking for more friends to go on bike rides with and agreed to meet for a bike ride the next day. From there Telar and Alex began biking together about once a week. One day after a ride, Telar invited Alex over to meet her new kitten, Cardamom. Her crush on Alex grew the minute she saw him playing with her new kitten. On May 15th, 2020 Alex asked Telar out on their first official date at Gourmandise in downtown Salt Lake, where they sat outside for a "social distanced" dinner date. The rest is history :)
