The 50,000 Silver Dollar, known by locals as Lincoln's, is a must-see. Located adjacent to the wedding venue, Lincoln's features a restaurant, casino, and an enormous gift shop with all kinds of Montana souvenirs.
Up Up Lookout is an old fire lookout that is now a cabin 40 feet in the air that can be rented for $30/night. It is a neat place to visit just for the drive and if it isn't being rented you can climb up the wooden stairs and see great views. If it is rented, there will be a locked gate blocking the road 1.5 miles before the lookout, but you can park your car and walk the rest of the way for a scenic hike.
The Route of the Hiawatha mountain bike or hike trail is 15 miles long with 10 train tunnels and 7 sky-high trestles. The ride starts with a ride through the 1.66 mile long St. Paul Pass Tunnel, also know as the Taft Tunnel. It is a highlight of the trail that follows the crest of the Bitterroot Mountains near Lookout Pass Ski Area. The best part is.... it's all downhill with shuttle buses available to transport you and your bike back to the top. This family friendly trail is easily enjoyed by a wide variety of people from young children to super seniors.
