We're Getting Married !

Tei’Jera and Jamaal first crossed paths in 2012 when they were introduced by a mutual friend. However, their love story did not begin until 2016. Though the connection was instant, they couldn’t explore their interest in one another because they were both in relationships. As the stars aligned, they both found themselves single, and it wasn’t long before they began dating. Shortly after, Jamaal took a leap of faith, moving across the country to Washington, D.C. to further his education to obtain a Master’s Degree. Little did they know they would also be putting their relationship to the test. Distance didn’t deter them, though. Within a year, Tei’Jera joined Jamaal in D.C. where she also graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree. Over the next 6 years, they shared countless memories, living together in 3 different states, traveling to 7 states and 3 countries, and deepening their bond every step of the way. In early 2022, Jamaal start planning Tei’Jera’s dream proposal and 3 months into the planning they received joyous news—they were expecting their first child Jayce, marking another milestone. They continued building their lives together, and in 2023, they purchased their first home. Now, they look forward to May 21, 2025, a date that holds special significance. Not only is it the anniversary of when they first started dating, but it’s also the day Jamaal proposed, and it will soon be the day they become husband and wife, officially beginning the next chapter of their journey together.
