Well where do we start… “Grew up within blocks of each other and went to the same high school. Who would have thought we would be planning to spend the rest of our lives together!" ~Tehonor Tehonor Russell - Caseworker at Cook County Health Hospital System Irvan Washington - Owner & Operator of Barber 2 U and Luxury Mobile Services Tehonor and Irvan were both born and raised on the southside of Chicago. They also attended the same high school, Hyde Park Career Academy, which is ultimately where they first met and meeting was all it was at this point! LOL Fast forward, Tehonor went away to attend Illinois State University College. She and Irvan didn't meet again until after she graduated and moved back home to start her career as a social worker. It was by faith Irvan and Tehonor reconnected in the neighborhood where they grew up and have been inseparable since. In 2021, they purchased their first home together and soon there after had a housewarming where friends and family attended. It was that day that Irvan popped the question. He set the mood with a live band playing “let’s get married” in the background while he gave his speech and got down on bended knee. You can guess what happened next!
