There are a variety of accommodation options in the area, with many guests choosing to stay in Windsor and nearby towns where there are numerous Airbnb and hotel options. We have also secured preferred rates at our venues, Crowne Plaza Marlow (traditional wedding) and Easthampstead Park (white wedding). Booking details can be found in the Travel tab on our website. As both venues are in more remote locations, we recommend staying at the venue on the night of the wedding. Guests not staying onsite should arrange a taxi in advance; recommended taxi companies will be shared closer to the date.
We recommend flying into London Heathrow Airport (LHR), the closest major international airport to both wedding venues and the airport with the most flight options. When you arrive at Heathrow, proceed through UK immigration and customs, collect your luggage, and head to the arrivals area. Once landside, you have a few transportation options: Option 1: Uber or Bolt (rideshare apps) Uber and Bolt are widely available at Heathrow and are the most convenient option, especially if you have luggage or are traveling in a group. Travel time to the wedding area is typically 45–75 minutes depending on traffic. Option 2: Train + Uber/Bolt From Heathrow, you can take a train toward central London or toward Reading/Maidenhead, depending on your route. From the nearest train station, you can then take a short Uber or Bolt ride to your hotel or Airbnb. This option works well if you prefer public transport, though it may involve transfers. If you are unsure which option to take after landing, rideshare is generally the simplest choice.
Entry requirements depend on the passport you hold. U.S. passport holders: Most U.S. citizens do not need a visa for short visits to the UK. However, you will need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before travelling. This is a mandatory online travel permission. You can apply here: https://www.gov.uk/eta/apply Nigerian passport holders: If you hold a Nigerian passport, you will need a visa to enter the UK for visits such as tourism or attending a wedding.
