On a sad evening when the Los Angeles Rams lost to Tom Brady (Again) in Superbowl 53, Jon and Diana met at Blue Martini in Las Vegas. Jon spent the day at the lounge with a few friends having bottle service and enjoying the game until the huge upset. Nearly in tears, Jon was on his way out to end his night sad at home. But before leaving, he had to use the restroom. On his way there, he stopped suddenly and couldn’t stop staring at Diana. At that point, he forgot about his trip to the restroom. Jon introduced himself to Diana, bought her a drink, and then met the rest of the crew. About all 15 of them. Diana was convinced to randomly stop by Blue Martini just to check out the live band. It had been about 10 years since Diana even set foot there, way past her college days. Jon kept buying more drinks for the crew, but the night was soon coming to an end. Diana asked Jon to walk her out to her Uber and then asked him to pick up her car. Jon did not hesitate to follow her lead. And soon after that, they were inseparable. Jon was the answer to Diana’s prayer.
The Engagement was in a beautiful venue in Honolulu, Hawaii. Jon surprised Diana with hair and makeup and told her that they were going to an All-White Dinner Party the first night in Hawaii. Diana didn’t think anything of it other than it sounded like fun and she hoped to go to a luau just like the movies. Fun fact: Diana wanted to move to Hawaii after High School and was accepted to Hawaii Pacific University with a full scholarship. Unfortunately, that dream was shut down and she ended up at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Knowing this about Diana, Jon wanted this day to be special and make her dreams come true of experiencing the beauty of the island. At the restaurant, Jon let Diana know that he had to use the restroom so she waited by the host stand with Mia. The hostess then approached Diana and said that she ran into Jon and showed him to our table. Diana told her that she would wait for him to come get her and Mia because she too had to use the restroom. The hostess thought quickly about how to respond because she was the actual event planner for the engagement surprise. She said that there was a restroom on the way there and she would show her the way. On their way outside, back to the front door, she led Mia and Diana to the side of the venue where Diana then started to notice a red carpet and candles lit down a pathway. You could hear the waves lightly crashing and there was a light mist in the air. Diana then noticed Jon at the end of the red carpet where she then began to cry and hold Mia in her arms. When Diana got to the end of the red-carpet, Jon held her hand and said a loving speech on their life and journey. He then got on one knee and asked the big question. Diana of course said, yes! Jon then told her that he had another surprise for her and asked her to turn around. Diana turned around and dropped to the floor bursting in more tears. Their friends and family were standing right behind them watching the engagement and spent the week celebrating their love.
