In 2011, on the streets of Ijetu, Osogbo, James first heard of Tomi; a girl known for being strict and hard to impress on 2go. Intrigued, he messaged her, facing long waits and minimal responses. Despite the slow start, he was determined to win her over. After losing contact, they reconnected when James entered Federal Polytechnic Ede, though Tomi mentioned she had a boyfriend. He respected her commitment and moved on. In 2014, Tomi called James unexpectedly during the MTN cyber hack, and they talked for hours, rekindling their connection. In 2015, she agreed to be his girlfriend, bringing endless joy to his life. When they finally met in person at Federal Poly Ede, James knew he wanted to marry her. Their bond grew, and in 2016, his father’s advice about finding a woman who brings “calm to his storm” resonated deeply. In 2018, Tomi introduced James to her family, who welcomed him warmly. She surprised him by attending his graduation, and throughout his NYSC, their relationship only strengthened. By December 2021, they took a big step with Tomi introducing James to her extended family and receiving blessings. They married in court in early 2022 before Tomi left for Canada. Despite the distance, they stayed connected, and in May 2023, James joined her in Canada, starting their life together. Now, in 2024, they’re planning a trip to Nigeria to celebrate their holy matrimony and complete traditional rites. Through laughter, tears, and challenges, their bond has only grown. Rooted in God and unshaken by distance, their faith has been their anchor, making this love story one to last forever. #Teejay2024
