We're getting married!

Our Story Grace and Teddy first met in 7th grade at their dear friend Jack’s Bar Mitzvah. At just 12 years old, they instantly clicked within a close-knit group of friends. Despite attending different middle schools, they stayed connected. That summer, they spent time together during football and volleyball tryouts, and by high school, they had become inseparable—trading off whose house they'd hang out at each day after school. Their families became a big part of their relationship early on. Grace’s parents first met Teddy on Halloween, when he showed up dressed as Magic Mike—spandex, suspenders, and all! From countless movie nights and fast food runs to school events and basketball games, their friendship blossomed through shared experiences and memories. During sophomore and junior years, their tight-knit group of four—Grace, Teddy, Raffy, and Taylor—were practically inseparable. They were together every day. While Teddy may have developed feelings first…and early on ;) Grace was hesitant to risk the friendship they had built. But by senior year, Teddy couldn’t hold back any longer. When he finally made his move, it marked the start of something truly special. Not long after senior night, they took a trip to Hawaii—which is now a cherished place in their story. They moved to Eugene for college, where their bond only grew stronger. Through the ups and downs of college life—meeting new friends, juggling busy schedules, and all while living apart—they remained each other’s constant. Over the next five years in Eugene, their relationship deepened through holidays, birthdays, family vacations, new incredible friendships, graduations, and even periods of long distance. Through it all, they remained best friends first. After graduating, Grace and Teddy moved back to Portland, navigating life’s next chapter—including Grace getting her beloved dog Mowgli, both Teddy and Grace getting new jobs, and the challenges of COVID—all while living with their families and saving for the future. Eventually, they bought their first home together in the neighborhood where they both grew up, bringing their story full circle. Teddy proposed at Cannon Beach, one of Grace’s favorite places in Oregon, surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was an easy “yes” to forever. Now, they’re thrilled to begin the next chapter of their journey—together.
