Tasha's Version: It's simple.... Jumani saw a pretty girl and couldn't get her out of his mind. He stalked her, constantly reached out to her, begged for her to hang out with him. Sure...they had a love for sports in common, but what else could this youngin' offer? Finally, she decided to meet up with him to make the harassment and stalking stop. Little did she know that a simple 30 minute meeting would be the beginning of a lifetime of love. (FYI... that "pretty girl" he stalked was me! It's a good thing I didn't enforce that restraining order!) Jumani's Version: There is none. Tasha's is pretty accurate!
What do you do when you've finally had the baby and now its your birthday? You make up for lost time and paaarrtttyyy!! Jumani (unbeknownst to me) had been working hard for weeks gathering our closest friends and family to come celebrate my birthday at King's Bowl in Orlando. After getting on stage (and nearly falling off stage) doing my Tash-yonce karaoke performance, I turned around and there he was down on one knee. I had to ask him twice what he'd said as i was in total shock! In a room full of strangers, and at the place where we started our journey 3 years, is now the place we started the rest of our iives.
Life happens and we had to live it, love it, learn from it and grow from it. 2 years since the initial proposal, it was time to rededicate ourselves to one another and be one as God destined us to be. In March 2020, what seemed like a normal date night turned out to be much more... dinner at Red Lobster, video games at Galaxy Bar and then a kidnapping! Yes.... a kidnapping! Jumani blindfolded Tasha, cut the music up full blast (bc she’s nosey) and drove away to a secret location. Upon arrival, the blindfold was removed to reveal a beautiful, romantic scene with Jumani, new ring in hand, declaring “it’s us against the world”. ❤️❤️❤️ #TeamTaylor2021
