We're getting married!

We met on a dating website, Plenty of Fish. It took us quite a while, close to a year, to even set up our first date due to a hilarious sequence of back and forth. We will have to tell this story in person. Finally, a mutual friend gave us a gentle push in the right direction and we went on our first date. I will never forget Nick trying to be a gentlemen by holding his cup of tea, my extra extra large cup of coffee and open the door for me at the same time. From that moment on we've been together, Nick still brings me an extra extra large cup of coffee every morning.

Nick and I were meeting friends on Kure Beach the day before Christmas Eve. Nick grabbed me for a quick stroll to watch the sunset and before I knew it, he was down on one knee! It was completely magical as he gave me my grandmothers wedding ring and asked me to marry him. It was so surreal with a flock of pelicans skimming over the ocean and dolphins swimming by right at that moment - it was absolutely perfect!
