Flight

Krakow Airport

***Recommended Airport*** 11 miles to Krakow's Old Town. Train to Kraków Główny (main station) from the airport will take about 20 minutes and costs about $4 We don't recommend renting a car while in Krakow. You can easily get around the city by tram. You'll avoid traffic and also save on overnight parking fees. We do however recommend renting a car for the rest of your trip around Poland.

Flight

Warsaw Airports

6 miles to Warsaw city center. Warsaw Chopin Airport is the main international airport in Poland. It offers the most flight options from Chicago. If you are flying in from another European city, then Modlin Airport is where most of the budget airlines operate. Modlin Airport is located 25 miles from Warsaw city center. Busses to/from the city are available. There is a train to downtown Warsaw. S2 beneath Terminal A. Trip lasts 20 mins and is about $4 Warsaw is about 3:30 hours away from Krakow by car. Spend a night or two in Warsaw then head down to Krakow. Either by bus, train or rent a car. A car might be useful for your trip around Poland.

Travel Note

Local Currency

Taxes are already included in all prices of goods/service Złoty (PLN). $1 gets you about 4.30 pln. Most places accept credit cards but its always a good idea to carry cash especially if you want to try local street food. In Krakow, we recommend exchanging currency in the mall (Galeria Krakowska) attached to Krakow Głowny. There is a currency exchange by Carrefour that offers one of the best exchange rates in the city. Don't exchange on Florianska St. as they have the worst rates.

Travel Note

Poland

Most guests will want to make the most of their trip considering how far the wedding is from home. We think its a great opportunity to explore Europe and everything it has to offer from espresso and baguettes in Paris to wine and pizza in Tuscany, Italy. While planning your trip, please don't forget about Poland. Its a beautiful , historically rich country worth exploring. We're confident you'll love it.
