July 22, 2022 our story began. We spent a few weeks online; a surprisingly rich time getting to know each other. Then it was phone calls, which were easy and fun, serious and not so serious. The love of Jesus and family threaded every conversation and we wanted to see where this might go. Two dates and a couple weeks later, we were ready to "make a run for it," as Matt likes to say. 

The rest is history, but to quote the Archbishop of Canterbury, "...fairy tales usually end at this point with the simple phrase, 'They lived happily ever after.' This may be because fairy tales regard marriage as an anticlimax after the romance of courtship. This is not the Christian view. Our faith sees the wedding day not as a place of arrival but the place where adventure begins."

So let the adventure begin!
