Her Story: Moving to a new state is always an adjustment. With a new car, new place, and new job I was happy with how smooth my move to Utah was. A few weeks into my job, I see this handsome guy who had recently started working there sitting at a table by himself. I'm thinking, "I gotta talk to this guy, he's cute and I wouldn't mind knowing him." I walk up, introduce myself and we talk for a while. We hit it off and decided to get dinner together. That's where I asked Alex if he would like to go rock climbing sometime. We had a blast rock climbing and stopped at Sub-Zero ice cream for some dessert. He won me over with his charm and his sense of humor. We started as friends, and now we are tying the knot! His Story: You know me, I wasn't looking for anybody, at least nothing permanent. I was a collector, like every charming bachelor. Fortunately for me, life blew up in my face which required seeking new employment. About a week in, I met this beautiful blonde little stranger. We went out after work to Boston's, struck up a conversation, laughed, and I found myself enjoying her company immensely. After a few dates we started developing a strong attraction for each other. To this day, we still don't know when we actually became official. It was just a conversation one night where we agreed to exclusively see each other, but even that doesn't describe the process of how we just let things develop at their own pace. Nothing was rushed. Anytime she asked about our relationship my answer was always the same, "stick around and we'll find out together." So that's what we did, and that's what we'll continue to do for each other. We became friends, who became lovers, who succeeded as a team against all odds. Who would've known we were perfect for each other & grew together impeccably well. We are goals. We are unique. We are weird. We are the world to each other, and we'll stay that way.
We were given a chance to go on a cruise and we couldn't turn it down! Since we both set a New Years Resolution in 2018 to travel and explore new places we thought it would be a perfect way to end our 2018 travels. After months of planning, we flew to Miami, FL and embarked on the Carnival Horizon. This was Alex's first cruise and I was excited that we would be able to have some time to relax and enjoy each other since we were coming up on 4 years together as team NatAlex. Alex had a more intimate plan of proposal, just him and I on our balcony room overlooking the vast ocean (as he later told me). He went a little more public though to say the least! During the Captain's dinner, when all of the ship is dressed to the 9s, we were sat in the middle of the dining area. The Maitredee asked if there was an Alex in the room, and Alex stood up. I seriously thought we were winning something! I did not see him hand our Go Pro to a kid and say, "Record everything." I was then given a chair to sit down in front of him and Alex started telling our story. He got down on one knee, asked me if I would give him the honor of being his wife, and of course I said "Yes, yes, yes, one thousand times yes!" I was shocked! I literally had no clue about any of this. Neither of us heard the roar of the crowd until we watched the video later that night. We did get the intamate moment Alex had wanted, between ourselves in the middle of a grand dining room filled with people. So excited to embark on our forever together!
