How They Met

Jason and Katie met back in 2016 in Little Elm, Texas during a game of beach volleyball. From the start, their friends noticed something special between them, even if they weren’t ready to admit it. For a while, they stayed “just friends,” until one night a group outing to Pinstacks turned into what would become their very first date. After everyone else left, Jason asked if Katie wanted to keep the night going. She didn’t hesitate—making a quick U-turn off the DNT to meet him at a sports bar. Not long after, Jason cooked her an incredible dinner (shrimp scampi), and that same night she met Tartuffe, Jason’s dog. Tartuffe quickly stole her heart and sealed the deal for their future together.

The Proposal

Fast forward a few years, and Jason knew exactly where he wanted to propose—Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The track has been part of Katie’s life since childhood, where she grew up surrounded by racing with her dad and close family friends. It’s a place full of memories, so bringing Jason there was a big deal - he was the 1st boyfriend to be brought to the track! At Katie’s favorite corner of the track (turn 6), Jason got down on one knee. It was the perfect mix of surprise, excitement, and meaning. With her Daddy’s blessing in hand, Katie’s answer was an easy yes.

Why We're Celebrating

Our wedding day is more than a ceremony. It is a celebration of the prayers that carried us through, the friends and family who have supported our journey, and the faith that now anchors our love. Rather than eloping quietly, we're choosing to gather everyone who has played a role in our story to share in giving thanks and worship for what only God could do in our lives. We can't wait to celebrate that with you.
