6:00 am - 2:00 pm
We will follow the Rock Creek Trail to some old mines, then follow an old trail above the mine, then bushwhack on up to the east ridge. The lower portion of the ridge is Class 2 hiking while the upper section does get more difficult. The rating does not exceed class 3, but total elevation change is 3,610'. Since it is an "out and back" trip if you would like to participate and are not much of a big mountain hiker, you're welcome to go as far as you feel comfortable and then turn around to head back to the trailhead. This hike is not recommended for our guests traveling from sea level as 13,000 feet is no joke and the elevation change can make you very ill. https://www.climb13ers.com/colorado-13ers/keller-mountain
