Scott and Chelsea hit it off talking about Thanksgiving plans after matching on a dating app. Their first disagreement came when Scott claimed the best Thanksgiving food was stuffing (which his opinion is still wrong), but Chelsea agreed to meet for coffee after the break anyways. Turns out, nerves and coffee equal an extremely talkative Chelsea. Scott patiently listened for nearly 3 hours until Chelsea left to go Christmas tree shopping. To Chelsea's amazement, Scott somehow asked her on a second date. It was clear they had a lot in common, especially their love for sports and adventures. Scott taught Chelsea all about hockey and soccer, and let Chelsea drag him on cold winter adventures to Donut Falls and the Midway Ice Castles. They soon learned that both their families had no mercy when it came to their favorite card games. Scott's love for Michigan sports soon rubbed off on Chelsea, although she is still working on convincing him the Seahawks are the best team in the NFL. For Chelsea's birthday, Scott spoiled her with a plane ticket to Michigan. Chelsea asked to go see Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan, as Michigan football is such a big part of Scott's life. Scott pulled off yet another surprise when he pulled tickets to the Michigan game out of his pocket. Little did Chelsea know, there was another surprise just around the corner. A month later, as Chelsea and Scott were coming home from church, Scott asked Chelsea to go grab a flier taped to his front door. Chelsea instead found a note card with her name on the front and a clue on the back leading her to another card inside. Each card had a memory or a feeling-filled note written by Scott (although reading them through all the happy tears was difficult). After collecting several clues, Chelsea found a poster filled with ticket stubs, pictures, and memorabilia from all the things they had done over the past year, and Scott waiting to pop the question. Of course she said yes, and the rest is history!
