Travel Note
If you are coming out with multiple people and can spare the time, consider a road trip. Road trips with two or more people greatly reduce the carbon emitted by your travel compared to air travel. And as a bonus, you may get to stop and see some really beautiful parts of our country. I know this does not work for everyone, so no judgement if you are flying.
Flight
This is the one and only option for flying into the Denver area. This airport is quite far, being about 40-60 minute drive from Boulder. If you are flying and you do not want to drive, check out the bus recommendation below
Travel Note
If you are flying into Denver and do not want to rent a car, there is a bus that goes directly from the airport into Boulder that costs $10 each way. The AB1 goes down Broadway, and the AB2 and AB3 buses go down down 28th St but have different final stops. Check which one can drop you off closest to where you will be staying. They typically leave every half hour during the day, alternating between the different routes. This bus goes back to the airport as well when your trip is done. Download the RTD app to easily buy tickets, which you can use for buying bus fairs in Boulder as well. The Transit app is great for seeing where the busses are in real time.
