Christmas Eve 2017, Ricky and Meredith decided to trust Meredith's sister, Lindsey, and meet. For some reason (or many reasons), Lindsey thought the two would hit it off. And she was right. What sealed the deal? The first date. Ricky's Dodge Ram broke down on the side of I-270 and Meredith came to the rescue in Black Beauty (aka Toyota Tundra). It may have been embarrassing for Ricky but Meredith sure got a good laugh and the rest is history. After many baseball games, bike rides, canoeing trips, and successfully binge watching all of Game of Thrones, Ricky decided he should put a ring on it. It was just another ordinary pizza night at the Smith's residence in Grove City... at least that is what Meredith thought. When requested to turn around and close her eyes for a birthday gift, she turned around to find Ricky on one knee.
