How We Met

All Because Two People Swiped Right

Michael and Teaghen were a perfect match right from the beginning. It all started in January 2017 when two strangers stumbled on an app called Tinder and made the decision to "swipe right" on each other. To their surprise, they matched! From their first date ice skating under the stars to many dates afterwards, they both knew something special was developing between them. Teaghen knew from the beginning that Michael was a very kind gentleman, especially after agreeing to her friends joining them for their first date. Michael knew Teaghen was something special by how pretty she looked as she ate a very large and very messy burger after they went ice skating. Their infatuation continued to grow for each other the more they talked, went on dates, and got to know one another even better. On March 8th, 2017 Michael asked Teaghen to be his girlfriend while lying under the stars on the beach. Not long after that they knew they were in love with each other and they were each other's person. Their love for each other grew stronger; even as they worked through being in a long distance relationship for the first three years together. As time went on Michael and Teaghen felt their love was ready to expand; so they adapted two adorable Maine Coon kittens named Freya and Oliver. Michael and Teaghen continued to support each other through all their accomplishments and challenging times. They grew more in love each day, strengthening their faith together, and overcoming all the things life had thrown at them.

The Proposal

Wedding Bells Are Ringing

On June 20th, 2024 while vacationing in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee, at sunset on the mountain top, Michael got down on one knee and asked Teaghen to marry him. Teaghen was overjoyed and of course said "yes" to marrying her best friend. Now on May 16th, 2026, they say "I do" to forever!
