we’re getting married!

All of her life, Sarah knew 3 things about her ideal partner. He needed to be: 1. kind 2. funny 3. & most importantly, tall (okay, maybe not the most important but pretty close) Sarah was raised in Pittsburgh, PA in a loud home with 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She had no idea that 4 hours away in Wilkes Barre, a boy named Teaguen (who lived in a much quieter house with one sister) was busy growing up —and up and up — to become her very own Tall Boy. In 2013 Teaguen moved to Pittsburgh for college and the city quickly became home. It wasn’t until the end of 2021 that he decided to download a dating app and matched with a girl named Sarah. Although initially shocked by the fact that she came from a family of seven kids, Teaguen thought she was very cute and worth the possibility of never having a quiet holiday for the rest of his life. On December 21, they met at a local restaurant. Much to Sarah’s excitement, he was even cuter and taller in person … and he was responsible because he’d made a reservation for two! They spent the entire evening talking & laughing, and every date that followed went the same way. Family vacations, trips with friends, cozy weekends at home with pets — everything was memorable as long as they spent their time together. In summer of 2024 they bought their first (and hopefully last) home in Monroeville. Much to Sarah’s horror, Teaguen’s planning skills for dinner reservations do not carry over to packing up boxes. And unfortunately for Teaguen, Sarah’s love for relaxing and being cozy with him is nearly equal to her obsession with home renovation projects. While Sarah & Teaguen’s mom (Megan) planned his surprise 30th birthday party in October, Teaguen planned a surprise of his own for the day before. With the help of Sarah’s sister Abigail, he picked the perfect ring, and with his friends Joey and Josh, he scoped out the perfect spot in a park by their house. On November 1, 2024, the tall, kind, and funny boy from Wilkes Barre got down on one knee and asked the cute girl he met online to marry him.
