Koloa, Poipu is the closest to the area with the most hotels, but there's a lot of places around Kaua'i to stay. Just depends on if you want to drive/travel far. Lihue-near the airport, has a good amount of hotels, air bnbs, VRBO. Kapaa-farther east, but still has good amount of hotels, air bnb, VRBO. Kilauea, Princeville, Hanalei- North shore, far way from the wedding location, but beautiful. I'd recommend staying here if you're planning to make a full trip out of the weekend Waimea-West side of Kaua'i-beautiful but again, a drive. Up to you. Not too may hotels, this is more of a "bed and breakfast" Waimea plantation cottages, or Vacation rental town
whatever you'll be most comfortable in, just not heels! wedges, maybe if you're brave Shorts, shirt, slippers- good enough!
